    Cruisers 5000 Walk Through

Knot Again is a beautifully maintained 2002 Cruisers Yachts 5000 Sedan Sport, originally a freshwater boat from the Great Lakes that only recently began her journey on America’s Great Loop. From the moment you step aboard via the hydraulic swim platform and make your way up the wide starboard side deck, her condition reflects the care of knowledgeable owners. Entering through the sliding glass door, the salon impresses with rich high-gloss cherry cabinetry, a custom leather L-shaped hide-a-bed sofa, cherry coffee table, and an entertainment system featuring a Samsung flatscreen TV and Bose surround sound. The galley, located just a step up, is equipped with Corian countertops, dual stainless-steel sinks, and updated appliances including an induction cooktop, inverter microwave, residential refrigerator with icemaker, and a reverse osmosis water filtration system. Forward of the galley, the lower helm offers a leather adjustable helm chair, dual Raymarine E12 chart plotters, bow and stern thruster controls, autopilot, and a starboard side door rebuilt in 2023 for easy deck access. A custom detachable workstation makes this helm versatile for navigation or onboard productivity, while floating cherry stairs lead to the flybridge.

Below, Knot Again features a spacious three-stateroom, two-head layout. The forward master stateroom offers a walkaround queen berth with private ensuite head, cherry cabinetry, and a cedar-lined hanging locker. The starboard mid-VIP stateroom mirrors the master with another queen berth, cedar-lined closet, built-in settee, and direct access to the second head, which also serves as the day head. To port, the third stateroom features twin berths with filler cushions and houses a Bosch washer/dryer combo behind a mirrored bulkhead. The engine room, accessed from the cockpit, is remarkably clean and houses twin 660hp Caterpillar 3196 engines with just over 2,000 hours and a full 1,000-hour service completed in August 2024. Supporting systems include a Kohler 9kW generator, Reverso oil change system, updated battery banks, new water heater (2024), and cleanly labeled electrical panels. Knot Again is truly turn-key and loop-ready, offering her next owners the perfect balance of luxury, reliability, and performance.

    Cruisers 5000 Accommodations

The accommodations aboard Knot Again are thoughtfully designed to offer both comfort and privacy, making her ideal for extended cruising or liveaboard life. The forward master stateroom features a centerline queen berth, private ensuite head, cedar-lined hanging locker, and ample storage built into rich cherry cabinetry. Soft lighting, warm wood finishes, and well-placed portlights create a welcoming and restful retreat after a day on the water. The ensuite head includes a separate shower stall, solid-surface countertop, and convenient storage, offering a true sense of luxury and independence for the owners.

Aft and to starboard, the mid-VIP stateroom also boasts a walkaround queen berth, cedar-lined closet, and a built-in settee beneath custom window treatments. This stateroom has direct access to the second full head, which also functions as the day head for guests. To port, the third stateroom offers twin single berths that can be converted to a full bed using filler cushions. This cabin also houses a Bosch washer/dryer combo, discreetly tucked behind a mirrored bulkhead (with the mirrored doors currently off the boat but included). With three separate staterooms and two full heads, Knot Again provides a versatile, comfortable layout ideal for families, guests, or those looking to cruise long distances in style.

    Cruisers 5000 Salon

The salon aboard Knot Again is warm, inviting, and designed for both relaxation and entertaining. As you step through the sliding glass door, you're welcomed by rich high-gloss cherry cabinetry, expansive windows with custom window treatments, and a spacious layout that blends style and function. To port, a Flexsteel L-shaped leather sofa features a built-in sleeper, offering additional accommodations when needed. Opposite the sofa, a matching Flexsteel leather recliner provides a perfect spot to unwind. A cherry coffee table anchors the space, while the newly installed LED lighting (2024) adds a clean, modern glow to the salon's classic wood finishes.

To starboard, an integrated entertainment center houses a Samsung 32” flatscreen TV paired with a Bose surround sound system, delivering high-quality audio and video for movie nights or background music underway. The salon also features a central vacuum system, making it easy to maintain a tidy living space during extended trips. The open-concept design flows seamlessly into the galley and lower helm, creating an ideal environment for socializing, relaxing, or enjoying life aboard during long passages or evenings at anchor. With its premium furnishings and thoughtful layout, the salon truly feels like the heart of the vessel.

    Cruisers 5000 Galley and Dinette

The galley aboard Knot Again is ideally laid out for extended cruising, blending style and functionality in a space that keeps you connected to the salon and helm. Just one step up from the main salon, it features Corian countertops, dual stainless-steel sinks with a European-style faucet, and warm cherry cabinetry that provides ample storage for provisions and cookware. The galley has been thoughtfully upgraded with a True Induction cooktop (2022), a built-in Panasonic 1200W inverter microwave, and a Breville toaster oven for versatile meal preparation. A Frigidaire residential refrigerator with a built-in icemaker, added in 2024, ensures you have plenty of cold storage, while a reverse osmosis water filtration system with a dedicated faucet, also installed in 2024, adds peace of mind for extended time aboard.

Two steps up from the galley, in the raised pilothouse area, you’ll find the spacious U-shaped dinette — a bright and elevated space perfect for dining with a view. Upholstered in cream Ultraleather, the dinette comfortably seats a group and easily converts into a double berth when extra sleeping accommodations are needed. Surrounded by large windows and positioned just aft of the lower helm, it’s a fantastic spot for meals, morning coffee, or chart plotting during a passage. The elevated location allows for excellent visibility while still feeling connected to the main living areas, making the dinette a functional and welcoming part of the onboard experience.

Cruisers 5000 Master Stateroom and Ensuite Head

The master stateroom aboard Knot Again is located forward and offers a warm, private retreat ideal for long-range cruising or full-time living. Centered around a queen-size island berth, the space is framed in rich cherry cabinetry that gives it a refined, residential feel. Generous storage options include a cedar-lined hanging locker, multiple overhead cabinets, side lockers, and built-in drawers beneath the berth — all designed to keep clothing and personal items neatly stowed for extended stays aboard. Soft lighting, a plush mattress, and overhead ventilation create a comfortable sleeping environment, while custom bedding and tasteful finishes add to the cozy ambiance. The stateroom is equipped with dedicated lighting, reading lamps, and easy access to the vessel’s forward systems, offering a thoughtful blend of style and function.

The private ensuite head is located to starboard and features a separate stall shower, a solid-surface vanity countertop with an integrated sink, a mirrored medicine cabinet, and ample storage below for toiletries and linens. The shower compartment is enclosed, allowing for a dry and comfortable head area, and includes a built-in bench, grab handle, and sliding door. A marine toilet, towel racks, and thoughtfully placed lighting complete the space, making it both practical and comfortable. The ensuite head’s design emphasizes both usability and privacy, ensuring the master suite aboard Knot Again truly feels like a home away from home

Cruisers 5000 VIP Stateroom and Ensuite Head

The VIP stateroom aboard Knot Again is located amidships to starboard and offers guests a quiet, private space with generous accommodations and refined finishes. At the center is a comfortable walkaround queen berth, flanked by high-gloss cherry cabinetry, including a cedar-lined hanging locker, multiple storage drawers, and built-in shelving for personal items. A built-in settee beneath the outboard window adds a cozy touch, creating the perfect spot to read or relax. Soft carpeting, overhead lighting, and custom window treatments make the space feel bright and comfortable, while the room’s placement amidships provides excellent stability at anchor or underway.

This stateroom enjoys private access to the guest/day head, which also serves as the vessel’s second full bathroom. The head features a solid-surface vanity with integrated sink, a separate stall shower with sliding door, and a marine toilet, offering comfort and convenience for guests without sacrificing privacy. Mirrored cabinetry above and storage below the sink provide space for toiletries and linens. With its private entry and spacious layout, the VIP stateroom functions almost like a second master, making it an ideal setup for cruising with another couple, hosting family, or simply enjoying a more flexible liveaboard lifestyle

Cruisers 5000 Bunk Room and Laundry

Located to port, the third stateroom aboard Knot Again serves as a versatile bunk room, perfect for children, guests, or additional storage during long-range cruising. Outfitted with twin single berths, this cabin also includes filler cushions, allowing the space to be converted into a larger berth when needed. The warm cherry cabinetry continues here, complemented by soft carpeting and overhead lighting that gives the room a welcoming and functional feel. Though compact, the layout is efficient, providing a quiet and comfortable space for extra sleepers without compromising livability elsewhere onboard.

A standout feature of this stateroom is the inclusion of a Bosch washer/dryer combo, neatly housed behind a mirrored bulkhead that adds both visual depth and practicality. The mirrored doors are currently stored off the boat but are included in the sale. This dedicated laundry space is a rare and valuable addition in a boat of this size and is ideal for extended cruising or full-time living aboard. Whether used as a bunk room, utility space, or extra storage, this flexible cabin adds significant functionality to Knot Again’s already impressive interior layout.

    Cruisers 5000 Pilothouse/Lower Helm

The pilothouse aboard Knot Again offers a commanding and well-appointed lower helm station, perfectly suited for all-weather cruising and long-range navigation. Just forward of the galley and two steps up from the salon, the helm is equipped with a leather adjustable lumbar captain’s chair, paired with a custom removable workstation featuring a monitor mount and keyboard tray—ideal for digital navigation or remote work. The helm console is elegantly finished with a woodgrain tilt steering wheel and gold-and-black controls, giving the space a classic yet functional look. A starboard side deck door, fully rebuilt in 2023, provides quick and easy access for line handling or ventilation while underway. Just behind the helm, crescent-shaped companion seating offers a perfect spot for crew or guests to relax and enjoy the journey.

Electronics and navigation systems are thoughtfully laid out and include a pair of Raymarine E120 multifunction chart plotters, each with independent chart chips for redundancy and expanded situational awareness. A Simrad Robertson AP20 autopilot offers precise course control, while a Standard Horizon VHF radio ensures reliable communication. The helm also includes SidePower bow and stern thruster controls for effortless docking, a Plastimo compass for traditional navigation reference, and full Caterpillar 3196 engine displays for real-time monitoring. Additional systems include controls for the windlass, searchlight, and trim tabs, along with a 12V accessory outlet, automatic fire suppression indicator, and cleanly labeled breaker switches for onboard systems. With excellent visibility, intuitive controls, and seamless integration into the pilothouse design, the lower helm aboard Knot Again is a true command center for serious cruising.

    Cruisers 5000 Flybridge

The flybridge aboard Knot Again is an ideal space for both command and comfort, offering panoramic views, ample seating, and a full suite of navigation electronics. Accessed via molded steps from the lower helm, the bridge is shaded by a full bimini top and features a venturi-style windscreen for wind protection while underway. The centerpiece is a custom triple-wide helm seat, providing plenty of room for the captain and crew to ride in comfort. Surrounding the helm, wraparound lounge seating creates a social atmosphere, perfect for entertaining while cruising or at anchor.

The upper helm is equipped with a comprehensive array of electronics for confident navigation and vessel management. At the helm, you’ll find a Raymarine E120 multifunction chart plotter, a Simrad Robertson AP20 autopilot, and a Standard Horizon VHF radio for communication. Maneuvering is made easy with SidePower bow and stern thruster controls, while a Plastimo compass offers traditional directional reference. Additional controls include a remote spotlight, windlass toggle, trim tab switches, and CAT 3196 digital engine displays, giving the captain complete situational awareness from above. With redundant systems to match the lower helm and excellent visibility in all directions, the flybridge aboard Knot Again is as functional as it is enjoyable — a true highlight of the vessel.

    Cruisers 5000 Engines and Transmissions

Knot Again is powered by a reliable and performance-driven pair of Caterpillar 3196 diesel engines, each rated at 660 horsepower. With just over 2,000 hours on the engines, they remain in excellent running condition, benefiting from consistent maintenance and a comprehensive 1,000-hour service completed in August 2024. This major service included aftercooler cleaning, coolant flush, new thermostats and hoses, timing adjustment, and full fluid and filter replacements, ensuring these engines are turn-key and ready for thousands of hours of dependable operation.

The engines are paired to ZF transmissions and utilize direct-drive propulsion, delivering smooth, efficient cruising and responsive handling. Accessed via the cockpit, the engine room is clean, well-organized, and reflects the care of knowledgeable owners. Supporting the mains is a Reverso oil change system, making regular maintenance quick and mess-free. The mechanical space is also equipped with a SeaStar hydraulic steering system, Tides dripless shaft seals with new seals installed in 2020, and an automatic fire suppression system, underscoring the vessel’s thoughtful design and safety considerations. With proven CAT power and thorough service history, Knot Again offers the performance, reliability, and peace of mind that long-distance cruisers demand.

Cruisers 5000 Electrical and Mechanical Equipment

Knot Again features a thoroughly upgraded and thoughtfully designed electrical system, making her exceptionally well-suited for extended cruising and liveaboard comfort. In 2024, the house battery bank was replaced with three Epoch 460AH lithium batteries, providing an impressive total of 1380 amp-hours of power. Charging for the house system is handled by a Zeus high-output 12V alternator paired with a Zeus external regulator with Bluetooth connectivity, also installed in 2024. Monitoring is made simple and precise with a Victron BMV battery monitor featuring state of charge tracking, Bluetooth, and a smart shunt, ensuring full visibility of power usage and battery health at all times. A Victron Centaur 60A 24V charger manages charging for the engine and thruster batteries. Dedicated engine start batteries, thruster batteries, and the generator battery were all replaced in 2024, adding further reliability and peace of mind.

Additional onboard systems include a Xantrex 2000W inverter with a built-in 100 amp 12V charger (installed in 2022), a Hubbell isolation transformer (2018), and dual shore power inlets (50 amp and 30 amp) with a Cablemaster for effortless cord handling. A secondary shore power cord runs along the port rail for forward connections, added in 2024. The boat also features full LED lighting throughout, reducing power consumption while enhancing onboard ambiance. Communications and navigation equipment are enhanced by a Raymarine Class B AIS transponder (2023) and a Shakespeare broadband antenna for AIS and VHF. Starlink satellite internet, installed in 2023, provides reliable connectivity; the mount and cabling will remain with the boat. Practical systems such as an electric 20-gallon water heater with heat exchanger (2020), Tides dripless shaft seals with new seals in 2020, Maxwell electric windlass, oil change system, anchor and cockpit washdowns, and a VacuFlush head system round out a robust and modernized mechanical and electrical package. Combined with a powerful Onan 13.5kW generator with rebuilt injector pump, Knot Again is exceptionally well-equipped for energy independence and long-distance cruising.

    Cruisers 5000 Deck Equipment

The deck layout aboard Knot Again is both functional and thoughtfully upgraded, designed for ease of movement, comfort, and enjoyment while cruising or at the dock. At the stern, a transom door provides easy access to the large integrated swim platform, which is equipped with a Freedom Lift hydraulic dinghy lift system, making tender deployment effortless. A hot and cold transom shower is conveniently located for rinsing off after a swim or cleaning up dockside. Just forward, the cockpit area features Plasdeck synthetic teak flooring, offering the look of traditional teak with low maintenance. A custom teak folding table provides a beautiful centerpiece for outdoor dining or entertaining, while transom lockers offer discreet storage for lines, gear, and deck supplies.

Entry to the cabin is through a sliding glass door with a screen, allowing fresh air to flow through while keeping bugs out. Molded fiberglass steps with composite teak treads lead up to the flybridge, offering secure, easy access to the upper deck. Wide side decks with sturdy rails make moving forward safe and comfortable, and the large foredeck offers additional space for lounging or handling ground tackle. Whether you're preparing for a day of cruising, hosting guests, or relaxing at anchor, Knot Again's deck layout delivers the versatility and durability serious boaters expect.
