INTRODUCTION

JACE: A Remarkable Boat in Exceptional Condition

Step aboard JACE, and you’ll immediately experience the quality and strength that define this incredible vessel. Built by Moody to compete with the prestigious Oyster brand, she boasts a design that prioritizes durability and luxury. As one of the last boats in her series, JACE offers a true sense of security and performance, whether you're navigating calm waters or tackling more challenging seas. Her predictable handling and stellar downwind performance will have you feeling confident in almost any weather.

Originally owned by a French family who kept her in the Mediterranean, JACE was later sailed across the Atlantic. In 2021, she was sold to two successive couples who cruised her primarily in the Caribbean for four years. Throughout their ownership, they invested nearly $200K in an extensive upgrade program, transforming JACE into the robust, modern, and fully equipped yacht she is today. Particularly the conversion to lithium with 1.5kW of solar and electric cooking is a game changer; the owners just finished two months cruising without running the generator once! Whether you're island hopping or preparing for a circumnavigation, JACE is ready for it all with essentially nothing to be done before you start.

The current owners, having recently relocated to Europe, are reluctantly parting with her due to a new business opportunity. This presents a rare chance to acquire an outstanding example of a well-loved, blue-water cruiser in excellent condition—offered at an incredible value.

The Moody 49 is probably one of the nicest blue water cruising yachts around!

Bill Dixon designed a World-Class vessel with good storage and proportions that a lot of boats in this size category don't have. Jace is number 17 of only 18 of these extraordinary boats built between 2004 and 2006. She is engineered for stiffness and strength and is fully capable of navigating the world’s oceans through the full range of cruising conditions. The Moody 49 has been designed without compromise, the balance and power of her underwater sections and lead keel give superb sail carrying ability and stability for swift trans ocean passage times. This sparkling performance is complemented by her ease of handling by two people. Standard equipment includes a fully furling triple spreader cutter rig by Selden, electric winches, and so much more
