This is a big boat with a clean and uncluttered cabin top, easy-to-navigate wide side decks, and a huge comfortable cockpit. The long benches, large drop-down table leaves, twin wheels, all-new canvas, complete set of modern electronics, and ALL power primary and secondary winches make TOPAZ a pure joy to sail.

Her simple sloop sail plan is designed for easy management in choppy seas as well as when setting anchor. A huge dedicated sail/storage locker forward, right behind the large anchor/windlass locker helps you keep the boat neat and organized at all times. Shrouds come down to the deck inboard of the toe rail so navigating fore and aft along the deck is easy on both the low and high side even with an athletic heel.

SAILS

TOPAZ is a powerful yacht, capable of handling some spritely ocean sea conditions but she's also set up to be easily and comfortably handled by a cruising couple. With electric winches (ALL of them), nearly all lines led aft to the cockpit, primary winches right next to both helm stations, these are the features that make her a joy to sail. Anchoring and docking is a breeze with the help of her bow thruster. Below the waterline, her spade rudder and bulb keel helps her back like a car into a snug slip when needed. New standing rigging, new mainsail, new mainsail furler, all equip you to head offshore right now.

Step below via gradual gently sloping companionway stairs to a spacious and rare two-cabin layout below. TOPAZ has a huge salon, full size nav station with plenty of room for all your passage making electronics. Her galley provides a ton of counter space, abundant storage, and large fridge/freezer space for extended passages. Sleeping cabins fore and aft are so spacious, either can be used as an 'owner' space. The forward owner’s stateroom, with the larger dedicated en-suite head, is perfect at anchor with ample opening ports for ventilation. In a seaway, her aft cabins are huge, safe and comfortable underway with plenty of useful storage, large lockers and opening ports for ventilation. Throughout the interior spaces, owners will realize the huge benefits of TOPAZ’s 14'-9" beam.

CONSTRUCTION

Hull of hand-laid solid GRP bonded to a structural grid/hull liner of directional fiberglass/GRP for a strong, stiff, light composite. Vinylester hull barrier coat to resist osmotic blistering and zone-specific stitchmat laminates for specific increased strength optimization. 

Cored GRP sandwich construction for stiffness, thermal and acoustic insulation and lighter weight. Solid fiberglass reinforcements in high load areas. Integral unidirectional GRP deck beams for added strength. Main bulkheads bonded 360° to the hull and deck for rigid torsional and compressive strength.
