The Offshore 48 CPMY, produced from 1985-1999, has long been popular with boaters who have experienced the reality of life at sea. Thanks to the boat's substantial displacement, long shallow keel, low profile, and low center of gravity, the 48 offers a rock-solid ride and a high degree of directional stability. Repowered in 2002 with twin 420 horsepower Caterpillar 3126 diesels. She cruises at 17 knots and can reach a top speed of around 21 knots.
Stepping onto the swim platform you will find a transom door to starboard which leads to the cockpit. The cockpit is practical; designed with fishing, snorkeling, and diving enthusiasts in mind. The cockpit has a door with direct access to the master stateroom. Three steps on the starboard side of the cockpit leads to the covered aft deck. This raised deck is an expansive area, perfectly suited for alfresco dining and relaxing outdoors. Doors on each side of the aft deck provide protection from weather and offer access to the walk around side decks.
The spacious master stateroom is located aft and is complemented by attractive teak joinery. There is a centerline queen berth. Additional storage includes cedar-lined hanging lockers, and large dresser to port. The master stateroom features a door with forward access to the salon as well as a handy door aft to access the cockpit. The master ensuite bath (Remodeled recently) is roomy and offers a full size stall shower, sink with vanity, Vacu-flush head, large dressing area, as well as ample storage. The master receives natural lighting thanks to the large window aft, aft door to the cockpit, and 4 new portholes, TV and storage closet all prepped for a Washer/Dryer combo.
The guest cabin is forward and features a walk around queen berth with storage beneath. A dressing table with two drawers below and mirror faced locker above is aft and to port of the berth with a large hanging locker aft and to starboard. Like the master, the guest stateroom can be ventilated plus allows sun light to shine through the port holes and hatches. Private door to forward head with separate stall shower.
The salon is accessed via the aft deck staircase or the wing doors on the port and starboard side decks. The spacious salon is finished with quality teak joinery and complimented by large windows. An L-shapped sette converts into a berth for additional guests. Hi-lo table expands out for dining convenience. A serving bar overlooking the down-galley is found on the port side of the main salon. Lower helm station is located in Main Salon with duplicate electronics.
The Galley is located on the port side down. The Galley offers "like home" amenities plus the storage required for extended cruising. Norcold refrigerator/freezer - AC/DC power, Princess 3-burner cooktop with cover, Sharp carousel microwave, Teak trimmed cabinets and drawer, formica counter tops with double stainless sinks, hot & cold fresh water.
Aft cockpit with teak gunwale, transom door, and swim platform with stainless swim ladder. Cockpit has access to lazarette with a brand new Northern Lights 12.5 KW Generator with 90 Hours. Mid-level Aft deck has a hard top with aft deck plexi-glass wing doors, salon entry door.
Flybridge starboard with bench seat, updated Electronics and Radar 2021. New Bimini top and a full enclosure. Canvas covers for all helm and flybridge seating. Bow pulpit with anchor roller windlass controls (1) 85 lb Rocna and 280ft all chain rode.
