Some boats are built for adventure. Others are built and maintained with love. LaGypsie was made for both.

Her name was a gift—from a Frenchman to his beloved wife, whom he met as she journeyed solo across the United States in her car, free-spirited and full of life. Enchanted by her independence and spark, he called her LaGypsie — his beautiful nomad. That name now graces the stern and sides of their 1999 Navigator 4800 Classic, a vessel that has carried their shared love across America’s Great Loop and into the next chapter of their story.

Lovingly cared for and thoughtfully upgraded, LaGypsie is more than a vessel—she’s a floating expression of a life built together.

Boarding & Exterior

Step aboard from the generous swim platform and you’re immediately met with evidence of care. Her gleaming blue hull, accented by a vibrant teal stripe (Jan 2025), received a full bottom job including antifoul paint, balanced and polished props, serviced shaft seals, and new zincs throughout.

The aft cockpit is spacious and welcoming—perfect for both relaxing and line handling. At the bow, a Mantus M2 85 lb. anchor (Oct 2023) ensures secure anchoring wherever your journey takes you.

Flybridge

Wrapped in a beautiful crystal-clear Isinglass enclosure, the flybridge offers panoramic, all-weather usability with a view that stretches to the horizon. The color palette is soft and elegant, complemented by Infinity Luxury Woven Vinyl flooring (Mar 2025) that brings comfort and durability underfoot.

At the helm, new captain’s chairs (Feb 2025) provide supportive, adjustable comfort and modern flair. The Garmin autopilot with remote (Jan 2024) delivers fingertip control from a commanding vantage point.

Aft, the flybridge houses 880 watts of solar panels that feed a robust Victron energy system—providing renewable, silent power generation without sacrificing entertainment or seating space.

Pilothouse / Upper Salon

Surrounded by expansive windows, the pilothouse delivers stunning natural light and visibility. A starboard sliding door offers quick access to the side deck and makes docking simple. Galley

This galley has done more than feed adventures—it has served as the studio of a multi-decade French pastry chef, whose edible works of art have delighted everyone lucky enough to taste them. It's proof that elegance can truly come from the galley of a boat.

Outfitted with a GE stainless steel residential refrigerator, Empava two-burner electric cooktop, built-in wine fridge, and a double-basin sink with pull-out faucet, it’s fully capable of gourmet production. Surrounded by warm maple cabinetry, the galley is as beautiful as it is functional.

Accommodations

Below deck, LaGypsie offers two staterooms, two heads, and the kind of quiet, restful spaces that make extended cruising a joy.

The master stateroom, located amidships, is spacious and serene, featuring a queen island berth, hardwood flooring, and abundant maple cabinetry. Along the aft wall, a GE space saver washer and dryer is neatly tucked behind cabinet doors—offering complete convenience without disrupting the elegant feel. The stateroom includes private access to the en suite head, located forward to port.

The VIP guest stateroom, located in the forward section of the vessel, features a centerline queen berth, hardwood flooring, and excellent storage via hanging lockers, drawers, and overhead cabinetry. It's bright, inviting, and finished with the same attention to detail found throughout the vessel.

Heads

The master head, forward and to port within the stateroom, includes a dedicated shower stall, solid-surface vanity, maple cabinetry, and a Vacuflush toilet system that was fully serviced in April 2025 (new motor, pump assembly, and duckbills). It offers complete privacy and convenience in a clean, well-lit space.

The VIP guest/day head is located aft and to starboard of the forward stateroom, offering easy access from the companionway. It includes a separate shower stall, solid-surface counter, and a fully serviced Vacuflush toilet system (April 2025). It serves as both a private guest en suite and a practical day head.

Engine & Mechanical Room

Accessed via the cockpit hatch, the engine and mechanical room offers outstanding serviceability and is home to LaGypsie’s hardworking systems.

She’s powered by twin Volvo Penta TAMD63P 370HP diesel engines with approximately 3,900 hours. In January 2025, both engines were serviced with new belts, impellers, oil/filter changes, and valve adjustments. In February 2024, the port engine received a new turbo and exhaust elbow, and its aftercooler was dipped, pressure-tested, and reassembled. All three engines (main and generator) were also flushed with Barnacle Buster in 2025.

The Kohler 10kW diesel generator, with approximately 3,700 hours, is located aft of the starboard engine and was fully serviced in January 2025.

The room features excellent walkaround access, and houses the dual Racor fuel filters, hydraulic systems, shaft seals (serviced 2025), and Glendinning Cablemaster 50 AMP power system.

Electrical System

LaGypsie features a modern, professionally installed electrical system designed for energy independence and ease of use.

In January 2024, she received 600 amp hours of Lithium house batteries and 880 watts of solar. In May 2024, a full Victron Energy suite was added, including a 3000W inverter/charger, (2) 30-amp DC-to-DC smart chargers, solar charge controller, Cerbo GX monitor, and battery shunt for precise monitoring and control.

Three new 8D engine start batteries were installed in April 2024, and electrical wiring was updated with additional AC outlets installed throughout. When docked, the Glendinning electric Cablemaster makes shore power connection effortless with a 50 AMP cord that retracts at the push of a button.
