Construction

Cored hull with closed cell P.V.C. sandwich core used in the hull. End grained balsa-cored superstructure, pilothouse and boat deck. Core mat is also used to reduce print-through. Vinylester resin used in first two laminates below the waterline. Marine plywood bulkheads. Mahogany stringers and frames.



Saloon

The saloon is entered through large double doors off the fully covered aft deck. To starboard is an L-shaped leather settee with hydraulic dining table (seats 8) and a large window for natural light. To port is a larger L-shaped settee with built in end tables and a comfortable Ekornes Stressless chair and ottoman. There are teak valances with concealed lightening and decorator mini-blinds throughout the saloon. There is a Phantom screen for the double aft doors to let the breezes in while keeping the bugs out. For entertainment there is a 50" flat panel HDTV. A custom designed privacy door separate the saloon/galley from the rest of the boat.



Galley

The open concept galley is on the starboard side just forward of the spacious saloon/dining area and is separated from the saloon/dining area by a large counter with beautiful updated granite. The galley is a convenient U-shaped with a large window for natural light. There is an abundance of storage with multiple lockers and drawers capable of holding all those special pots and pans the connoisseur boating chef requires.

Master Stateroom

The master stateroom on the Whaleback is self contained with full bedroom and en-suite head. It is located forward featuring an island household sized queen berth with storage under the mattress. Storage is provided by two full length lit double-railed lockers with built in shelves and deadlight windows in each locker. There are two vanity units with multiple drawers. One vanity features a lit full size mirror with a concealed pull-up make-up compartment. Four opening ports and two large overhead hatches as well as two smaller hatches provide an abundant amount of light and ventilation. 



Master Ensuite Head

The over-sized ensuite features a beautiful updated granite countertop with porcelain undermount sink, overhead mirrored medicine cabinet and extra vanity storage and a large stall shower with a molded fiberglass seat. The head has a tiled floor and Royal Flush toilet plus plenty of storage in the floor to ceiling locker. An opening port allows light and ventilation.



Guest Staterooms

There are two guest staterooms on the Whaleback. The first is to port and includes a large L-shaped settee converting to a full double bed with Pullman berth overhead, 2 reading wall sconces, hanging locker and multiple storage drawers under the settee. The main feature is a large working desk with ample built-in overhead shelving and multiple drawers/ filing drawer. There is a large window with miniblinds and an opening port with Oceanair shade.

 

The other guest stateroom is to starboard and features a settee converting to a single berth and an overhead Pullman berth and 2 overhead reading wall sconces. There is also a working desk with wrap around shelving, hanging locker and an opening port.

Guest Head

The guest head is located aft of the starboard guest stateroom. It has a large stall shower, updated granite countertop with porcelain undermount sink, mirrored medicine cabinet, tile floor, Royal Head and an opening port. Plenty of locker space is under the vanity and in the additional locker overhead. For a laundry aboard, a separate cabinet outside the head houses a Frigidaire Heavy Duty stack washer/ dryer.



Pilothouse

The pilothouse on the Whaleback is not just a helm but rather a whole other living room both underway and when on the hook or at the dock. It is accessed from either the circular stairs just forward of the port guest stateroom or from the aft deck you can go up and across the boat deck. There is true 360 degree visibility from the Captain's Stidd helm chair. The helm has a large chart reading area with multiple chart drawers and locker space below. Access to the Portuguese bridge via port and starboard Dutch doors. There is a large L-shaped convertible settee with dining table that sits 6 that converts into a double berth by night. Abundant storage exists under the settee. There is a wet bar with sink, insulated ice box for ice/drinks, and an additional custom built cabinet along with an ice maker. There are fishing rod holders mounted to the overhead. To announce your arrival/departure: Kahlenburg air horns and a vintage brass air whistle!
