Design Features
Exterior: The 4550 has a traditional motoryacht layout with three deck levels. A solid fiberglass hardtop extends over the cockpit and includes a built-in radar arch . The foredeck is open and edged by welded stainless rails, with windlass and anchor roller forward. Wide side decks lead aft to a covered cockpit roughly 13 ft wide and 4 ft deep . The salon spans the full beam. A large swim platform and transom extend the living space aft. The flybridge is accessed via steps or ladder from the pilot house and features a second helm station, seating for ~8, comfortable helm chairs, plus ample storage. It is equipped with a dinghy crane (rated ~500 lb) at the stern of the bridge .
Interior/Layout: The 4550’s interior is noted for very generous volume. The master stateroom is all the way forward and has a center-line double berth, ample lockers and drawers, and an ensuite head with full tub/shower . Just aft of the master on the port side is the guest cabin. A second head (with stall shower and toilet) serves your guest. The main deck above the cabins has an all-electric U-shaped galley to port – featuring tile countertops, a full-size Norcold refrigerator (AC/DC), built-in microwave, electric stove/oven, trash compactor, stainless sink. The saloon spans the full 14′11″ beam with large windows on each side. It includes an L-shaped settee to the port and an entertainment/wet bar area to starboard . Forward and up three steps is the raised pilot house, which has a full helm and a dinette table, all-glass sightlines, and sliding doors on each side
