Manufacturer Description
The Swift Trawler 44 is truly the ideal long-distance cruiser for couples. She is composed even in harsh conditions and surprisingly responsive at low speeds. From the helm, the captain has 360-degree visibility.
Thanks to Beneteau’s thoughtful design, the Swift 44 can be docked single-handed with complete controllability and accuracy, particularly with the aid of bow and stern thrusters. The Swift’s twin 300 hp diesel engines make cruising comfortable. You’ll notice little penalty in fuel consumption even cruising at 17 to 23 knots and appreciate how remarkably quiet she is at full speed. Not all fast trawlers are created equal, in fact the Swift Trawler 44 is the most efficient in her class.
The asymmetrical design of the Swift Trawler 44 results in a roomier salon with more headroom below. Her owner’s stateroom is spacious with plenty of storage. The guest stateroom has two single berths adjoining to make a queen-size berth. With the salon’s settee featuring a foldout double mattress, she can comfortably sleep six. Her nicely sized u-shaped galley makes entertaining easy, and families enjoy her large swim platform.
The Swift Trawler 44 delivers best in class fuel efficiency, speed, comfort and stability whether you’re out on the lake, cruising the open ocean or in the bay.
Accommodations
Beginning in the salon and moving forward, the galley is to port with a top load fridge, convection microwave, gas cooktop, double stainless sink and tons of storage. To starboard is the lower helm with a great side access door, fridge below the helm seat. There is a great settee in Ultraleather Promessa fabric which converts easily to a double berth. Curtains provide provide privacy for this space. Storage lockers line the port side and a couple of folding director chairs may be brought in or used outside for socializing. There is a hidden leaf table that is also moveable.
The helm station is in the fwd stbd corner of the salon and has a sliding door for direct access to the side decks and a door through the hull for access to the docks. Moving down a few steps to starboard is the day head and the guest double cabin is to port. Forward, the owners stateroom includes a center island queen with en suite head and stall shower. Windows out the hull side for a view of the mooring field and a hatch overhead and ample storage lockers and storage under the berth.
Reverse cycle air conditioning and heat system provide climate control for the interior. Ocean Air screens, wood blinds and privacy curtains add to ambiance. Sliding glass doors open fully for connecting with the cockpit or close when the weather calls for that.
