Description
The Pearson 424 is an exceptional cruiser, and if well-equipped and sailed a competitive racer. The design lines are classic, and the moderate aspect fin keel , sail plan , and skeg mounted rudder make for great sailing performance and cruising comfort. Acadia has won the 2015 and 2017 Pensacola to Havana Regattas (race and cruise) overall, the Cruising Division overall in the Regatta al Sol (Pensacola to Isla Mujeres) in 2020 and 2024; and was recognized as the Boat of the Year by two Pensacola area yacht clubs (PYC and NYC). Acadia has a race and cruise ready sail inventory, great electronics, and a tremendous inventory of spare parts (motor, electronics, and hardware). Both standing and running rigging have been maintained and replaced as necessary and are in excellent condition. The bottom was done in late 2023. Acadia has been constantly updated throughout the last ten years by the current owner and is ready for step aboard cruising.
The Pearson range are considered by many to be one of the finest of yachts built in the USA. This model is a serious blue water cruiser constructed to a very high standard. The experienced owner has kept her sharp for navigation, using the boat almost all year. The base is very solid and has been kept and maintained to be at sea.
