At her dock in Mystic, Connecticut. Sea Lark is a fine example of the renowned Carl Matthews designed and Matthews Company of Port Clinton Ohio built aft cabin motor yacht.
She is fully restored vessel with rebuilding achieved through the years. The photos in this listing of work being carried out are to illustrate the rebuilding projects that have all been completed during currrent owner's tenure.
Sea Lark has been meticulously and continuously maintained. Powered by twin Marine Power 454 380HP freshwater cooled gasoline engines. The purchase of Sea Lark presents a great opportunity to own a true classic motor yacht in top shape and condition. She has cruised the Atlantic coast from Maine to Florida and the Bahamas, and is fully capable of comfortably repeating such adventures.
Recent work includes re-caulking (2021), anti fouling bottom paint, refurbished heads, transom coated with four coats varnish (October 2023). Note: The Kohler 6.5 KW genset has been removed and being rebuilt (2023-24).

Accommodations, layout and construction:
Sea Lark is a traditionally styled bridge deck aft cabin motor yacht. The hull designed by Scott and Carl Matthews has a round formed bottom that flattens out aft, and the nearly vertical bow provides a fine entry with little flare. Keel and frames are oak with mahogany planking, teak foredeck and cockpit. Stainless steel bow rails, boarding gates. Bottom and frames replaced stem to stern (2004-2006), with bronze fasteners, and new thru hulls. Transom had four coats varnish applied October 2023.
Sleeps six crew in comfort with a Vee berth is forward; a convertible settee/double berth in main saloon and double berths each side of the aft master stateroom.
Aft of the forward cabin is the U-shaped vinyl upholstered dinette to port and the galley opposite equipped with electric Princess stove with oven, Tundra reefer/freezer, double stainless steel sinks, formica counter tops, cupboards and drawers. There is a convertible comfortable sofa in the main saloon. Access to head and shower stall are via the passage way to the after cabin and the passageway. Heads equipped with two porcelain sinks and two Vacu-flush toilets (refurbished 2023, including new duck valves, tank monitor sending switch, charcoal vent, new mascerator pump).
Aft is the large roomy stateroom with double berths on each side. There is a large cedar hanging locker and several drawers. Varnished interior. Floors are linoleum and carpet. Curtains are cloth. The bridge deck has a helm seat and upholstered settee and bench. Canvas helmdeck enclosure (re-zippered 2023).
Two separate air conditioning systems fore and aft.
