2004 Island Packet 420
Flag of Registry: United States
Description
The LIVIN 2 is a 2004 model ISLAND PACKET 420 as produced by ISLAND PACKET YACHTS of Largo, FL. First introduced in 1999, the "420" was offered through 2005 and a total of 111 examples were built. The LIVIN 2 is hull #88 of this very successful series.
The LIVIN 2 is well-equipped and her Owners have been mindful of the necessary maintenance requirements that are so essential to a yacht of her caliber and to the clients that will be drawn to her. The exterior varnish has been redone with (10) coats over the past several years! The Cockpit Enclosure, to include the Dodger and Bimini and connector piece, was all replaced in 2017. New STRATAGLASS sections for the Dodger were installed over this past Winter.
All the operating systems for the LIVIN 2 are regularly attended too and in the same upscale Marina where the boat has been located for many years as well. It should be noted that there are only a little over 500 engine hours logged to date for the LIVIN 2!
The Owners of the LIVIN 2 purchased her as "new" in 2004. The maintenance records are complete and can be reviewed. All of the pertinent pubs for the yacht are also aboard to include those for options and accessories. The yacht has been exceptionally well-maintained and tastefully appointed. For clients who aspire to owning one of the best ISLAND PACKET 420's as offered, inquires and appointments for a viewing are strongly recommended.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The Island Packet 420 is the latest generation of Island Packet designs, and embodies a host of proven design and construction features that have evolved over years of boatbuilding experience and via feedback of thousands of owners. Representing a significant evolution from earlier models in this size range, the IP420 delivers the combination of seakeeping, safety, stability and speed coupled with the comfort, liveability, and value that makes Island Packet Yachts Americas Cruising Yacht Leader. The Island Packet 420 received the award for 'Best Full Size Cruiser' in the 2000 Boat of the Year competition as conducted by Cruising World magazine.
Hull, Deck and Cockpit:
Hull, Deck and Cockpit:
ISLAND PACKET YACHTS (and the IP 420, of course) were produced to the standards to qualify for the European "CE" Rating: Category "A" - Ocean. This is the highest level achievable and facilitates getting insurance for possible "offshore" voyaging as well.
Hull:
The ISLAND PACKET 420 was produced with the Company's proprietary "FULL FOIL KEEL" that provides enhanced directional stability, reduced draft, a reduced angle of heel and protection for the yacht's underbody, the rudder and the drive train. The "cutaway" underbody's spade rudder provides good control for the yacht and the reduced wetted surface does reduce parasitic drag as well. The LIVIN 2's bottom was stripped and expoxy barrier-coated in 2015.
- LIGHT IVORY Gelcoat finish
