Description
The Canados Gladiator 411 Carbon Series is a high-performance 41-foot monohull designed for speed and efficiency. Unlike competitors requiring powerful inboard engines, the 411 Carbon Series utilizes twin Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines for easy maintenance and impressive fuel economy. The yacht's hull and deck are constructed from lightweight carbon fiber and Kevlar for a weight of only 8800 lbs, allowing it to reach speeds close to 100 mph. With a focus on weight distribution and driver comfort, the 411 Carbon Series is a sleek and powerful option for thrill-seeking boaters.
The Gladiator 411 Carbon Series was created to offer a fully reliable, problem-free 41’ monohull capable of flirting with the 100 mph mark. So far, all 41’ monohulls available on the market, to reach such speed, are powered with big V8 inboard motors. Not only expensive, they also require considerable maintenance and offer poor fuel efficiency.
The concept of the Gladiator 411 Carbon Series offers a fantastic alternative to the big power inboards, with the reliable and super quiet Mercury 500R outboard engine, that can be easily serviced anywhere.
The double-stepped hull and deck are entirely made of custom woven carbon fiber and Kevlar epoxy and fitted with an integrated structural tail bracket to guarantee maximum strength, rigidity, and impact resistance. The lamination plan is such that the boat weighs only 4000 kg / 8800 lbs which is on average 30% lighter than any other boat of this type on the market.
Despite her very sleek and aggressive design, the 411 Carbon Series will be comfortable with its five X-Craft ® mitigation seats, allowing it to run the boat hard even in adverse conditions.
The entire hardware, for weight considerations, is made of titanium and forged carbon for the cleats and anodized aluminum for the rest of the accessories. The equipment, if not available from Italy or the US, is designed and custom produced for Canados such as the inner LED lighted grab handles.
All along the inception process, weight has been kept under control. On a boat this fast, and apart from the lamination, each piece of equipment had to be accurately studied to control the weight and keep the barycenter where it should be with a positioning margin of error limited to 2 inches. This crucial aspect will only be visible on the dashboard where all the usual old-fashioned gauges have been removed and replaced by a central Garmin ® 22” display and two 9” digital Vessel Views.
Powered with twin Mercury Racing 450R with Speedmaster lower units, the Gladiator 411 Carbon Series is capable of flirting with100 mph/88 knots top speed with a continuous 80 mph, putting Bimini only 42 minutes away from Fort Lauderdale. As the Gladiator 411 Carbon Series is not a boat to put in everyone’s hands, she is equipped in such a way that the steering wheel can be moved from one side to the other, offering the possibility to be used like a race boat, with a throttleman and a driver, or in case the owner runs her alone, he can move the helm to the other side.
