Broker's Notes
A Proven Ocean Vessel – This Island Spirit truly lives up to its name. A floating island which has crossed two oceans on multiple trips. Beginning in South Africa, this Island Spirit has let the wind take her half-way around the world and back. After several years circling the Caribbean, this Island Spirit Catamaran traversed the Panama Canal twice after exploring the Pacific Ocean. Traveling to the Azores, Canary Islands, Brazil, Baja, the Marquesas, Tahiti, Hawaii and Antilles – this little island is a dream to cruise.
With all lines leading to an electric winch at the helm, her sail plan begs to be single-handed. Yet, with her large open seating in both the cockpit or saloon, she happily entertains 8-10 friends or family - and a bunch of friends you’ll have with the ability to make and collect water, wash and dry clothes and chill in air condition comfort or delight in the hard bimini’s shade and cool breeze circulating through 12 portholes and 12 hatches. Enjoy a sun bath on the trampoline or sit at either bow seat and watch the dolphins dance between the hulls, this Island entertains all ages.
A single-owner vessel, her owners have lovingly cared for her and have put her up for adoption. Come apply today and fall in love!
Accommodations
A wide bottom step on the sugar scoops provide ample room for both divers and equipment, offering easy swim-on or step-on access to either side of the open-layout cockpit. Boosting 7+ foot clearance to the hard top, even your taller guest will appreciate not having to duck or crouch as they enter. The port side also offers hot and cold shower and swim ladder.
Moving from the cockpit thru bi-fold glass doors and across the low threshold, you face the saloon which comfortably seats 6-8. The U-shaped up-galley, located on the port side of the saloon, offers two sinks facing aft, a three-burner stove and oven to port with plenty of ventilation keeping the chef cool and happy. A large counter-top with elevated serving shelf sit atop the 4.2 cu ft refrigerator and deep pantry. A separate 3.8 cu ft, 3-drawer freezer offers compartmentalized access without losing its cool. Across from the galley on the starboard side facing aft resides the Nav station with ample counter space and more open storage underneath. Storage abounds throughout with even a drawer for charts of placemats.
To the aft in the starboard hull, a queen-sized bed offers privacy and comfort with an office mid-ship and storage lockers throughout the hall. Continuing forward, a separate full-size shower separates the quiet flush head from the sound-proof utility room which houses the Splendia washer/dryer and generator.
The port hull contains a queen-size extended berth to the aft with a built-in dresser. To the outside of hall leading forward, a separate head compartment offers privacy and convenience without obstruction. Forward lies the third berth, an extended twin convertible vee berth spacious storage as well.
Engines are accessed underneath each aft cabin, offering protection from the elements with 360-degree access to service or maintain.
