1996 Pacific Seacraft 38'

This Pacific Seacraft Built Ericson 380 is in Bristol condition. She has all new electronics (Raymarine Axiom) new running rigging, lazy jacks and more. She is built to take you to the islands and beyond!

Description

This highly desirable Pacific Seacraft built Ericson 380 “Kiwi” features a gunk hole friendly 5’ 3” shoal draft bulb keel. Designed as a high performance cruiser, the Pacific Seacraft Ericson 380 radiates a feeling of sleek, graceful motion. The rig is tall, but ICW bridge friendly, for excellent speed in light to moderate winds. Aerodynamically superior double spreaders also create a narrow shroud base which abets weatherly performance by favoring a tight sheeting angle. Mast, boom, winches, halyard systems and running rigging are configured for short handed sailing.

She has been extensively refitted over the over the years setting her up for extended cruising. She sails fast and has a sea kindly motion and should provide many more years of pleasing sailing and cruising.

If you are looking for a cruise ready sailboat to head south this fall then this is the boat for you!

Additional Information

Construction

The hull of the Ericson 380 is constructed of a solid composite of fiberglass and resin although some core material is used in some flat sections above the waterline to add stiffness without excessive weight. The Ericson 380 utilizes an elaborate system of high strength fiberglass fabric and high-density foam to form a structural grid of transverse floors and longitudinal stringers. The grid is bonded to the hull throughout the bilge. Components such as keel, engine beds, mast step, structural bulkheads and rigging loads are all connected to the grid, resulting in a very rigid and strong structure. You won’t hear any creaking and groaning from hull and bulkhead flexing like you do with today’s production boats.

The decks are well laid out and feature substantial deck hardware that is well secured with backing plates. Sugar scoop transom with swim ladder for easy boarding. There is an anchor locker forward, rigging shrouds are well inboard for easy passage fore and aft, the toe rail is deck molded fiberglass. The only bright work to maintain being the deck hand rails and transom top. Large starboard lazzarette for storage of water toys.

Accommodations

The forward stateroom is a wide double V-berth with a private changing area and seat with a teak bi-fold door for privacy. Hanging lockers outboard on both sides with storage shelves and drawers under the berth. The aft owner's master stateroom is a wide double berth with a teak door for privacy, hanging locker and outboard storage shelf, as well as opening ports to the cockpit for light and air.

The head aft is a large compartment with a separate shower stall and head, mirror, toiletries compartment with shelves and a shower curtain. Hot & cold pressure water in head & shower. The holding tank is plumbed for deck pump out or mascerator overboard pump out.

The main salon is large with the U-shaped dinette to port that can covert to an additional 6' 6” double berth. To starboard is a settee opposite the dining table that also provides seating at the navigation desk. Large starboard and port lockers provide additional storage. A Cruiseair reverse cycle AC unit is also installed vented to the saloon and forward cabin for added comfort when on shore power.

In the galley, there is a 2 burner Force 10 propane stove and oven, with 12V refrigerator, tilt-out storage bin, tilt-out trash locker, storage lockers, and a deep double sink with both fresh (filtered) and salt water foot pumps.
