BRIEF HISTORY OF HOLLAND BOAT SHOP
It all began in 1972. Glenn Holland bought an unfinished Repco hull and finished it in a temporary building he erected on his parents from lawn.
In 1973 he decided that he should have his own hull and the Holland 30 was born. A few hulls were built and then there was a fire where the molds had been stored.
Needing a new mold, Glenn partnered with Royal Lowell and they came up with the design for the now legendary Holland 32. That boat went into production in 1978. In 1986, the first 38 was built. Wanting something smaller to play with, in 1994, the Holland 14 was introduced to the family.
Holland Boat Shop is the builder of the world famous lobster boat, the "RED BARON". The semi-displacement hull is characterized by a sharp entry forward, flat at the stern with a keel for propeller protection.
