ABOUT THIS BOAT:
Ovni Yachts – Built for Adventure, Designed for Excellence
Ovni yachts, built by Alubat in France and designed by the renowned Philippe Briand, are among the most respected and widely recognized cruising yachts in the world. These vessels stand apart, admired for their exceptional craftsmanship, seaworthiness, and innovative design.
From France to Australia, the USA to South Africa, even those with little knowledge of yacht builders have heard of Ovni. And for those who haven't, one glance is enough to recognize that these yachts are in a class of their own. Built with the ocean in mind, they are designed for serious long-distance cruising—trusted by sailors who demand performance, comfort, and safety. Ask any Ovni owner, and they’ll tell you: if they ever buy another yacht, it will be an Ovni.
Strength & Safety – The Hallmarks of Ovni
As Alubat's motto states:
“In the middle of the ocean, the real luxury is safety.”
Every Ovni yacht is constructed from 5083 H111 aluminum, with hulls, decks, roofs, and cockpits fully welded inside and out in an Argon/Helium atmosphere for maximum strength and durability. Lead ballast is encapsulated in resin, while the vessel is fully insulated above the waterline—a critical feature for extreme climates.
Unparalleled Versatility – Go Anywhere
One of the standout features of an Ovni is its lifting keel, allowing for an incredible minimum draft of just 58cm and a deep draft of 1.92m when lowered. This makes navigating atolls, reefs, and shallow waters effortless and even allows for beaching the boat for maintenance—an invaluable advantage for long-term cruisers.
The smooth and precise helm control speaks volumes about its nautical performance. Whether sailing offshore or in coastal waters, it remains stiff in a breeze and efficient under sail—hallmarks of a Philippe Briand design.
Comfort & Craftsmanship
Beyond performance, this Ovni offers exceptional comfort both at sea and at anchor. The spacious interior features light oak woodwork, creating a bright, modern feel while maintaining the classic elegance of fine yacht craftsmanship. Thoughtfully designed cabins, a generous saloon, and ample storage ensure that life aboard is both practical and luxurious.
Ready for Your Next Adventure
This yacht is in great condition, fully equipped and ready to set sail. The current owners have completed their sailing sabbatical and are now returning to England—leaving an incredible opportunity for the next adventurer.
Could this be the yacht you’ve been searching for?

HISTORY
CONTIGO was built 2004. She was one of last if not last Ovni 385s built.
Initially owned by French Gentleman.
Little is known about his ownership.
Then bought approximately 2016 by Italian gentleman and renamed Contigo. He bought her to sail around the world.
Unfortunately his wife fell ill so circumnavigation plans ditched. He sailed her in the summers just in the Ionian Sea and wintered her on land.
Current owner bought Contigo in 2020 and sailed just in Greece 2020 and 2021 due to COVID restrictions.
2022 sailed to St Raphael in S France where Contigo refitted and prepared for Atlantic crossing by BMS (Ovni specialists).
Family crossed Atlantic 2023 with ARC+ (all safety gear etc as required by ARC on board and still in date).
2024 sailed Grenada to BVI to Grenada.
She was stored out of the water on land during hurricane season in Grenada.
In 2025 the family relaunched her and sailed her up the island chain from Grenada to St Martin.
All old invoices available for inspection.
