Vessel Overview
This 1998 Sea Ray Sundancer 370 has many upgrades and all maintenance is up to date which means this boat is ready to step aboard and go cruising. The current owner has owned "Jackarita" for almost 21 years and has always kept it in a covered slip. In 2007 he chose to repower the boat with new Mercruiser 8.1 Horizon 370 HP motors because he did not feel the standard 7.4 Mercruisers at 310 HP provided adequate performance. Jackarita can cruise at approximately 25 knots at 3600 rpm. if desired. He also replaced the transmissions to be properly matched with the new engines and installed a new 5KW Westerbeke generator at the same time.
The gelcoat has an excellent shine and was just waxed (04-2024) topsides and hull sides. The stainless shows very well and there is a canvas cockpit cover for when the vessel is not in use. The top and the isenglas are both in very good condition.
Stepping aboard from the transom there is a fixed swim platform and a transom storage locker. The transom door located on the port side allows entry into the cockpit area which has new carpet (2024). There is U shaped seating on the starboard side and single seating on the port side. This upholstery was new in 2020. Forward of the portside seating is a cabinet which houses wet bar with sink and an icemaker (new 2018) with additional forward facing seating. There is a power adjustable helm seat on the starboard side.
The well equipped helm has all pertinent engine gauges and a full array of electronics. These include Raymarine E80 (2018) MFD chartplotter, radar and bottom sounder. There is also a Raymarine RN300 GPS, RayData depthsounder, Raypilot 650 Autopilot and Ray 210 VHF. A 5" Richie compass is also located at the helm along with trim tab controls, and remote spotlight controls.
The acrylic cabin entry door is located to port and leads to the steps leading down into the main cabin. The electrical panel is located directly to port of the entryway and the well appointed galley is located on the port side. the galley features a new refrigerator (2018), a sink, microwave oven, three burner electric cooktop, coffeemaker and ample storage.
Immediately to starboard upon entering is the mid cabin stateroom with conversation pit that converts to a double berth, hanging locker and vanity with drawers. Forward of the mid cabin on the starboard side is the dinette area. It features a dining table and the dinette area converts to a sleeping area as well.
Forward of the galley on the port side is the large private head with separate shower stall. There is a sink and vanity along with a VacuFlush freshwater toilet system.
All the way forward in the cabin is the main stateroom with a centerline island berth with storage below. There are two hanging lockers, two vanities and a sliding door for privacy. Of course the stateroom and the entire cabin has air conditioning/heat supplied by two separate units which were just flushed and cleaned. (April 2024)
The engine compartment is accessed by a large electrically operated bilge service hatch which lifts up a large portion of the cockpit deck for easy access to the engines and bilges. The engine room, like the rest of the boat is clean and well maintained. There are a total of five batteries that were new in 2022. The standard smaller 7.4 Mercruiser engines were replaced in 2007 with larger 8.1 Mercruiser 370 HP engines for much improved performance. In 2024 the risers and manifolds were replaced along with a total engine service. Fresh bottom paint was just applied (April 2024) along with new cutlass bearings, new shaft seals and new prop shafts.
Jackarita is ready mechanically and cosmetically to begin cruising immediately with a new owner.
