Description

MAKE AN OFFER!

POSSIBLE OWNER FINANCE WITH $10K DOWN.

BOAT was FULLY SURVEYED June 2024.

PLEASE NOTE THIS Needs Hull and deck Paint if you want her to look new.

SHE WILL BE A GOOD BOAT FOR SOMEONE BUT WILL REQUIRE A FULL PAINT JOB (Hull and Deck), TO MAKE HER COSMETICALLY PERFECT, BUT SHE COULD BE A WORLD CRUISING YACHT NOW WITH A LITTLE WORK and if you don't mind the cosmetics then you can go sailing in a quality boat for very little money.

May 2024 bottom job

LOOK THE PICTURES OVER WELL. AS THEY WILL SHOW THE CONDITION.

MAIN ISSUE: Her decks were covered with Treadmaster nonskid that has UV worn down to the point that sanding it off and painting non skid will be easier. There is a lot of deck checking (gelcoat cracking, fissures) in the deck. Not uncommon in UK built boats that have been in the southern sun for some time. There are also some softer areas on the deck. Mainly on the foredeck by windlass and by the port deck near the genoa track. Propane locker lid in deck on starboard side will need to be reinforced. All can be done easily if decks are repainted.

HER INSIDE IS NOT IN BAD SHAPE. Easily livable now, but has some hull liner issues mainly the vinyl they put around port lights and in closets. Upholstery could be replaced She does have a NICE TEAK INTERIOR AND HAS THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE CURRENTLY WORKING:

  • Volvo 2003 series 28hp Diesel with under 500 hours
  • 3Kw Next Gen GENERATOR with under 200 hours. We think the gen is much newer than the boat, but no proof.
  • SEA FROST 12VT REFRIGERATION-
  • AIR CONDITIONING. Single 16K BTU
  • Main fuel tank drained and fresh fuel added.

The top 4 items above have been checked/confirmed that they are working, running, and operational.

SHE APPEARS TO HAVE A BELOW DECKS PILOT AND DATED ELECTRONICS. Some working some not.

Main sail UV cover is gone but mainsail has been stored inside. Furling Genoa needs new UV cover as well. Has a bimini frame but no canvas.

NO WARRANTIES ON THE BOAT OR ANY OF THE EQUIPMENT ARE EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.

IF YOU KNOW WHAT THESE BOATS ARE, THE PEDIGREE THEY HAD YOU KNOW THE ASKING PRICE IS A GREAT PRICE!

The Westerly 36 is a HUGE 36 footer that is known for it's ocean going capabilities. Built for the North Sea and Lloyds of London specifications. See the Lloyds plaque in the pictures.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Accommodates 6. At the bottom of the companionway to starboard is a U-shaped galley. To port is a full forward-facing navigation station with desk large enough to accept a full chart folded no more than once. Just aft of the navigation station is the passageway to the private aft cabin. The passageway offers a work bench and refrigeration box area. The passageway also offers two full-length deeply fiddled shelves for storage.

Between the galley and the aft head, on the starboard side of the boat is an enormous storage room. Accessible from the starboard side of the cockpit, under the seating area, the locker is called "the garage" by many owners. It is approximately 4' X 5' X 7' deep!

Aft is the owner's cabin with full-sized athwartships double. It has its own hanging locker, ample storage under the berth, full wrap-around shelving and a private head.

The main salon has a fixed centerline table that seats four comfortably with liquor and wine storage in the center console. To port and starboard are settees that convert quickly and easily to exceptionally comfortable and secure sea berths. The port settee also converts to a queen-sized double if needed. There is abundant and accessible storage under, behind and over the settees and plenty of bookshelf space over the cave storage areas.

V-berth forward with hanging locker. Deep shelves with fiddles to port and starboard, the area under the V-berth offers a large storage area. The head forward with shower is just aft to port with an additional hanging locker to starboard.
