This 1989 Monk 36 flybridge is a two stateroom trawler, designed by Ed Monk and in production since 1982. Cabin entry through main salon doors port and starboard. The main salon also contains the galley and a lower helm. Down two steps forward is the guest stateroom with a good-sized vee berth, closet and separate head and shower. Down two steps to aft is the Master stateroom with a centerline queen berth, with storage under, three hanging lockers, a vanity, and head with separate shower and tub. The entire interior is done in rich teak wood that appears almost new. Indeed, the overall condition of this yacht reminds one of a much newer vessel. Note that the galley table folds out as well as down to make another double berth.
Travel in comfort and style aboard this lovely Taiwanese-built Monk 36 Trawler. The upswept, highly flared bow contributes to a smooth, dry ride in most weather. Raised bulwarks and a high rail make movement around the house safe and secure. The Monk 36 cruises at 7 - 8 knots, and has a range of approximately 800 miles. Two private sleeping cabins, both with private heads, lovely salon and huge bridge accommodations truly make the Monk 36 a great live-aboard or an excellent distance cruiser.
This Ed Monk 36 is the ideal long range trawler to get you started along the great loop, or any other adventure you so choose! The current owners have made many upgrades to prepare for the loop to make this vessel comfortable and enjoyable!
