Practical Sailor reviewed the Freedom 36 in January of 1989, and stated, "We strongly recommend the Freedom 36 as a sailing machine, with the ease of sailing far outweighing any drawbacks." And "We also like the roominess and livability of the boat. In a 36-footer, it's hard to imagine more space, or think of a way the space could be better used." "Paradigm" is an exceptional example of this fine sailboat, and is truly a turnkey cruising boat ready for this season.
