Accommodations

Scorpius features a clean, spacious, varnished teak interior. Total accommodations for six including 2 in the Forward Cabin, 3 in the Main Cabin, and 1 in the aft Quarter Berth. Light and ventilation are provided by 5 opening hatches and 6 opening ports with additional light through 4 large fixed ports. All ports in the main cabin are fitted with curtains.

Starting Forward:

FORWARD CABIN:

• Forward is the owner’s cabin with a double berth offset to port with storage under, above, and with outboard shelves port and starboard.
• Upholstered seat adjacent to the vanity counter to starboard with a filler piece to make wide double berth (blue velour berth cushions).
• Shelved locker with mirror-faced sliding doors over the vanity; full length enclosed hanging locker with a bookcase and shelf forward.
• Large overhead hatch.
• Access to chain locker forward of the berth
• Two storage drawers and hanging locker aft of berth.

HEAD:

• The large head is just aft to port and can be accessed through the forward cabin or main salon.
• Jabsco manual marine head with holding tank and y-valve for overboard discharge.
• Arborite vanity countertop with teak fiddles, S/S sink
• Bulkhead-mounted mirror over the vanity.
• Laundry storage outboard of the sink, locker with shelves below; shelved locker with sliding doors outboard of vanity.
• Opening overhead hatch and fluorescent overhead light with opening port.
• A separate standalone shower stall with a handheld shower, and teak slatted seat.
• Outboard is a linen storage closet.
• Molded shower sump pump with teak grate; pumps overboard via an electric sump pump.               

MAIN SALON:

• Amidship and separated from the forward cabin and head by a teak door.
• To port and starboard are 6’4” settee berths with removable backrest for access to the storage areas outboard.
• Lockers with louvered doors and bookcase above the backrest.
• Water tank and drop-front storage area under the settee.
• The port settee converts to a 4´ wide double berth with the drop-down teak dining table (extra mattress to make double).
• S/S Newport Dickinson LPG cabin heater on starboard bulkhead.
• Fluorescent light and large opening hatch overhead.
• Cushions replaced in 2013.
• Clock and Barometer mounted on bulkhead

GALLEY:

• U-shaped galley is aft to port with double S/S sink and large storage locker under.
• Hot and cold pressure water faucet; manual fresh water foot pump and spigot.
• Heavily insulated icebox with Lucite dividers and shelving.
• Isotherm 12V refrigeration (2014),
• Three burner propane stove with oven, 
• White Arborite countertops with teak fiddles, food storage lockers outboard and aft, dish locker outboard, two drawers garbage locker.
• Large, fixed port outboard of the galley and an opening port with a screen which opens to the cockpit.
• Fluorescent lights over the sink and icebox.

NAV STATION:

• The Nav desk is aft to starboard and across from the galley. Seating is provided by the forward edge of the quarterberth.
• Chart storage under.
• Instrumentation and 12V switch panel mounted outboard of Nav Desk.
• Large fixed port outboard and red/white fluorescent light overhead.
• 6´4” quarterberth is aft of the chart table with access door to stuffing box.
• Two storage lockers outboard of the berth, battery storage under the forward area of berth, with storage area aft.
