Description
The Catalina 350 MK II "Dauntless" is a classic American made cruising sloop. She is set up with two private staterooms, large head and separate shower, and a very comfortable main salon. In the salon, two easy chairs to stbd with a cocktail table convert to a settee berth. A large L shaped settee to port and large dinette table convert to a double bed. There is a removable bench seat along the forward bulkhead which is also used in the berth conversion. The U-shaped galley is aft to stbd and there is a good size nav station to port. Access to the large double aft stateroom is aft to port.
Dauntless is nicely equipped with an in-mast furling main and furling genoa. A dodger and bimini provide some protection in the cockpit which is large and accommodated a crowd for an afternoon sail. Full Details
Vessel Walk-through
There is a large owner's stateroom forward with a centerline island berth and mattress extensions to fill the side spaces. This is a private cabin with a door to the salon and a door for entry to the head. Lockers and an overhead hatch provide plenty of storage and light and air. The head is aft to port and has access from the owner's stateroom and from the salon. There is a marine toilet, sink vanity and separate stall shower - surprisingly large for a boat this size. Across from the head door is a large hanging locker.
The main salon features two easy chairs to stbd with a cocktail table between them. These convert to a single berth or settee. Across to port is a large dinette table with an L-shaped settee. There is a separate piece that makes into a bench forward for added seating and is removable. This area converts to a large double bed . Aft of this port settee is a navigation table and some electronics and a breaker panel. Across to stbd is a large U-shaped galley with double stainless steel sink, refrigerator, propane stove with oven, microwave oven, and plenty of storage. The counter surfaces are a solid matrix material.
Aft to port is a second private double guest cabin. This a large and comfortable space
Up several steps and you are in the cockpit with settees to port and stbd and a large cockpit table with two folding leaves to sit for dinner al fresco. There is a folding wheel at the helm which makes passing by to the walk-through transom easy. The swim platform and ladder and transom cut out make moving in and out of the boat very easy. Wide side decks lead to the mast and foredeck and there is a good size anchor locker forward.
