Gadabout is a current model Nordic Tug and bonus, has only had two owners while being used locally in the great Northwest. It was purchased for the second time in June 2022 and from the get-go was intended to be an interim powerboat until the owners, now sellers, new and larger Tug that they'd ordered was done at the factory and ready for a Fall 2024 turnover. With less than 315 hours and almost $100K USD below the cost of a brand new 34', Gadabout represents a great value and opportunity for the couple that wants to immediately go cruising this summer in a perfectly sized, lightly used and well maintained Nordic Tug.

Gadabout is equipped with a well regarded Volvo D4 260 hp diesel engine (~ 315 Hours), Northern Lights 5 Kw Genset (~ 40 Hours), RIB Inflatable on a Seawise mount w/8hp Tohatsu and Hydronic heat. The Volvo D4 engine/transmission has an extended five year/1000 hour transferable warranty that expires on 9/1/25. While Nordic Tugs are styled like a traditional boat, they are engineered to be very modern. Her top speed is rated at 17kts and has a cruising speed of 8 - 14kts. She is a blend of beautiful and modern function that is widely appreciated throughout the PNW.

If you're looking for a great trawler for this Season that is super clean then look no further than Gadabout and reach out to Ken Monaghan at Seattle Yachts - Seattle (Shilshole Bay Marina) to schedule a viewing appointment.

Interior Accommodations

GADABOUT is built for a couple with enough space to allow for cruising without feeling like you are camping. There is 6 ft + headroom, a large extra seat in the pilothouse, foot rests for long periods underway and lots of ventilation. Boarding is done from either side into the aft cockpit. From here you can exit onto the swim platform, climb a short ladder onto the cabin roof, enter the main salon or go forward on the side decks. There is a large lazarette below and a storage locker in the cockpit.

The exterior of the boat is composed of easy to maintain materials and has storage compartments for all of your docking equipment. The cabin top has a generous amount of space to carry a couple of kayaks, deck chairs, crab pots, large cooler or other assorted gear. The rails are extra large 1 1/4 in polished stainless steel and netting has been installed to keep your kids or furry friends safe. There is a shower in the cockpit to clean their paws when returning from the beach.

The main salon has a generous L shaped dinette to starboard with table and another seat to port. The galley is to port with Corian countertops, a two burner ENO propane stove, Muave microwave/convection oven, stainless steel sink and Norcold R4500 refrigerator/freezer. There is a nice seat at the end of the counter. There are windows surrounding the salon that are trimmed with beautiful sapele and have privacy blinds. There is ample storage everywhere you can imagine.

The electrical panels are located on both sides of the transition area from salon to pilothouse. Blue Seas panels for A/C & D/C are marked and easy to see. The controls for remote operation of the generator is in the port panel. Three steps take you up to the pilothouse with the helm station to starboard and a large seat for the mate to port. Visibility and ventilation are excellent from here. All the controls for operating the boat are here.

The pilothouse has doors on each side for excellent ventilation & egress. They are about three feet above a standard dock. Access to the forward deck and anchoring gear can be from either side of the boat. Off center to port are three steps down to the master cabin and head. The bed is a walk around bed with drawers under and a custom innerspring mattress. The head is very generous for a boat of this size. There is a shower with seat, a Tecma electric head and sink.
