This Frank Butler designed sloop first came on the market in 1986. Since then the Catalina 34 built a well deserved reputation as a classic blend of performance, comfort and value. The large cockpit has pedestal steering with all the instruments located at the wheel. The walk-through transom uses a double duty ladder/gate. The cockpit has canvas for a complete enclosure, and all lines lead to the cockpit for single handed sailing and safety.

Interior

• The forward stateroom has a comfortable V-berth with a removable inset cushion to provide additional standing room. There is a forward storage shelf which is a convenient place to put the main hatch inserts while aboard. There is storage under the berth as well as one drawer for immediate access. There are three more drawers in a cabinet to port, a hanging locker to starboard, and storage shelves above each. There is a 12VDC fan, an overhead hatch, two opening ports, a privacy door leading aft, and two bright 12VDC LED brass lamps. September 26, 2025

• Aft of that is the salon with a U-shaped dinette to starboard which comfortably seats four adults and converts to a double berth. There is storage behind and some beneath the seats, with access to the depth transducer and speed sensor. There is a settee to port large enough for 3 adults and with storage behind and some below. There is a quartz clock and an open dial barometer, both brass with 5” dials, both Weems & Plath Endurance II 135 models, on the forward bulkhead. There are shelves on both sides of the salon for storage of books and dishes.

• Aft of the settee is the navigation station with chart desk opening for chart storage. The 120VAC and 12VDC electrical panels are next to the desk. There is storage above the electrical panels, and a shelf above the chart desk. There is a convenient long-neck adjustable lamp above the desk. Below the shelf and behind the chart table is a utility cabinet.

• Aft of the dinette is the L-shaped galley including double stainless steel sinks, hot and cold pressure fresh water system, the top loading Adler-Barbour refrigerator with freezer compartment, two burner Hillerange propane stove with oven and removable cutting board, plus storage for food and dishware. The microwave uses no counter space but is conveniently situated for easy use.

• Aft of the chart desk is the head with a marine toilet, vanity with a stainless steel sink, and mirrored storage cabinets.

• Aft of the galley is the master stateroom with athwartships double size berth, bench seat with storage beneath, hanging locker with shelf, two opening ports, two bright 12VDC LED brass lamps, and a privacy door leading forward.
