Description
Alice's has 10 brass opening ports and a forward hatch for superior ventilation while on anchor or at the dock. Two deck prisms are mounted in the main cabin lets in additional natural light. At night the cabin can be lit by 4 oil lamps or the electric cabin lights or a combination of the two.
Main Cabin
To starboard is a dedicated nav station with a Garmin 742 chart plotter and a Standard Horizon Matrix AIS GS 2150. Forward of the nav station is a pull out settee with lee cloths. A Shatz Barometer and a Silva model S-10401 hand bearing compass are mounted to the main bulkhead.
To port is the ships galley that includes a Force 10 2 burner stove, ice chest, sink and ample storage for cookware and other provisions. Forward of the galley is a drop down dinette that seats 4 comfortably for dinner and sleeps 2 at night. There is more storage under the dinette seats and below the raised dinette floor. Forward of the dinette is a bulkhead mounted Sigmar diesel heater to keep the boat warm and cozy in the shoulder seasons and/or in northern climates.
Head
A generous sized head includes a sink and a composting toilet by Airhead. The head doors can be swung out to close off the main cabin and the forward cabin to make full use of the beam of the boat while utilizing the head and changing area.
Forward Cabin
The forward cabin sleeps two in a v-berth format. There are a set of drawers and lockers for storage under the v-berth. Access to the chain locker is at the forward end of the-cabin.
Mechanicals
The vessel is powered with a 30 hp Yanmar 3GM diesel with approximately 700 hours on it and is in good running condition. The engine compartment is a mechanics dream with access all around the engine. Their are two diesel tanks that are mounted outboard under the cockpit settees that hold 35 gallons each for a total fuel capacity of 70 gallons.
There are two group 27 agm batteries mounted to the port side of the engine compartment that serve as the house bank. There is an additional group 27 starting battery mounted to the starboard side of the engine compartment. A Noco smart battery charger serves to keep the batteries topped off while at the dock.
Sails and Winches
The main and staysail were refit with new sails from the loft of Bondell Sails and Rigging out of Rockport, ME. There are fewer than 100 hours on the sails and they appear to be in like new condition. The genoa has recently been serviced locally with a cleaning and a few minor repairs.
There are two Lewmar 30s mounted on the cabin top and 2 Lewmar 40s mounted on the combings for ease of sail handling from the cockpit.
Self Steering Windvane
A Monitor Windvane by Scanmar International has been fit to Alice but has literally never been used and is in like new condition.
Ground Tackle
A manual windlass is installed on the foredeck to deploy and retrieve the ground tackle. The primary anchor is a Vulcan 20 (44 lbs) with 150' of chain. The secondary anchor is a CQR plow style anchor.
