HISTORY

The elegant Pocket Yacht CHEROKEE was built especially for David Thompson, the President of Martha's Vineyard Yachts Inc. Quoted in the 1978 Winter addition of NAUTICAL QUARTERLY (volume 5)

CHEROKEE sold in 1978 to Donald Colpak - Quoted in the same article mentioned above-  "couldn't like anything better than this boat - people come over to look at this boat and they can't believe what I've got there." - Donald Colpak

CHEROKEE was originally powered with a gasoline Chrysler 330 hp V8- REPOWERED with Volvo 210 HP DIESEL. 

In 2008, when the current owner purchased the boat it had already been re-powered with the Volvo diesel. Which explains the modest engine hours. The cockpit seating had also been upgraded to the configuration it has today, which includes, but not limited to, the hydraulic engine cover lift and guest seating. 

Beautifully maintained and a delight to the eyes.

Fabulous Herreshoff style interior with v-berth forward. Spacious salon seating, plenty of storage. Refrigeration, two burner cook-top, large stainless steel sink. Enclosed head.
