Description
Sweet Charlie might just be the sweetest sailboat under 35' to hit the market this summer!
This particular 310 was one of the last models produced before Catalina transitioned to the 309 in 2007. She has had only two owners, both of whom have lovingly maintained her. Having been sailed exclusively in the Chesapeake, she has low engine hours and presents like a much newer boat.
If you're looking for an easy and enjoyable way to spend time on the water with your family this season, Sweet Charlie should definitely be at the top of your list!

Accommodations
Don't let her size fool you! The Catalina 310 offers a surprising amount of space down below thanks to the generous 11'6" beam and open forward and aft cabin configurations. Unlike the newer 309 models that incorporate a forward bulkhead and private aft cabin, the openness of the 310 makes it feel so much more open and bright. As with all Catalinas, the headroom down below is exceptional, adding to illusion that the space feels similar to a larger boat.
The forward guest cabin features a centerline berth that is large enough to accommodate two adults comfortably. Storage is found in the hanging locker, and in drawers under the bed. The door and peek-thru opening can be closed to make the cabin completely private.
Moving aft into the salon, the dinette to port and straight settee to starboard create a relaxing space to enjoy a meal or gather around for good conversation at night. The owners created a custom smaller cocktail table to maximize space, which can be swapped out for the larger dining table that is stored in the aft cabin.
The single head is behind the dinette to port and features a sink, pull-out shower, and manual Jabsco head. The owners have only flushed with freshwater, so there is no head smell at all!
To starboard is the galley, featuring a top / front loading refrigerator, two burner propane stove / oven with a custom wood topper to increase countertop space, microwave, sink, and plenty of storage. The galley placement on the 310 is much nicer than the 309, as is it pushed forward a bit and allows for more room navigating around the companionway steps.
Aft is a guest cabin featuring custom cushions that are configured to easily access the rear engine compartments without having to remove the entire mattress completely. As an added bonus - there is no need to make the bed and hide a tired mattress, so it always looks presentable!
The Catalina 310 was designed for a cruising couple to enjoy time on the water in comfort, making sure that all spaces - above and below deck - are simple, spacious, and easily handled by one or two people.
