Description
1997 Wellcraft Scarab 302
Powered by Twin Mercury OptiMax 225's (only 800 hours)
A popular model in the late 1990s, the Wellcraft 302 Scarab Sport is an updated version of the original 30 Scarab Sport (1979? 1993) with new deck and console tooling. Like her predecessor, the 302 evolved from Wellcraft's offshore racing program of the early 1970s. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with a narrow 8-foot beam, the 302 Scarab combines the speed and handling characteristics of her predecessors with a cockpit designed for tournament-
level fishing pursuits. Standard features include a leaning post with drop-down bolsters, 40-gallon oval livewell, raw-water washdown, in-deck fish box, transom fish box, forward console seat, removable rear bench seat, trim tabs, cockpit lights, beverage holders, molded forward seats, low-profile bow rails, under-gunnel rod storage, gunnel rod holders, and fore/aft cockpit bolsters. The 302?s lockable cuddy cabin contains a V-berth, storage lockers, and space for a portable head. A fast ride with impressive open water performance, the 302?s narrow beam results in marginal low-speed stability. twin 225s top out at 55+ knots.

The 302?s lockable cuddy cabin contains a V-berth, storage lockers, and space for a portable head.

Updated version of original 30 Scarab Sport (1979-1993) perfect for anglers with a need for speed. Slender (8-foot) beam plus aggressive deep-V hull equals great offshore performance. Cockpit is small for a boat this size. Extra fuel capacity (to 238 gallons) was optional.
Features:

storage; console seat; cushioned bow seats; cockpit bolsters; rear bench seat; anchor locker. Helm console has lockable electronics box, forward-opening storage compartment. Cuddy cabin contains V-berth, storage lockers, portable head.
