Full Details
This meticulously maintained 28 foot bowrider is built for sunny days and warm nights. With a yacht certified hull, this boat fits 12 adults comfortably and is the perfect cruiser for sunning, swimming, watching moonrises and meteor showers. She comes with a rare port bucket seat option which creates, not only a comfortable spot for your first mate, but enough space in the main deck for an on the water dance party (or blowing up floaties). She has a day head that serves its purpose admirably with a pump out porta-potty and sink with pull out shower.
The main deck sports a wet bar with sink and enough counter space to handle all of your margarita orders. A pull out drawer will satisfy the most demanding inventory requirements. The compartment forward the helm station houses a refrigerator to keep mixers chilled to your satisfaction. The aft U-shaped settee sits 5 guests comfortably with a removable table to handle pizza parties, cheese platters, or drop in the filler cushion for an afternoon nap.
The helm is outfitted with a Raymarine Ray210 VHF radio, Lowrance 3500 Depth Finder, 3-¾" Ritchie compass, and all required gauges including a new voltmeter (inst. 2023). The Clarion M309 Marine stereo with cockpit-mounted remote-control pumps six speakers to keep the dance party thumping.
Shore power juices a 120 VAC electrical system via a 50 ft shore power cable. Two breakers for outlets/refrigerator and battery charging system. There are (2) 120VAC outlets onboard, one with weatherproof cover in the cockpit, the other with ground fault in the head. Rotary style switch for 1, 2, and both for the 2 batteries.
Up front the bow sports contoured armrests, underseat storage, a hidden cooler, and enough cup holders to handle the masses. The bow easily swallows another 5 guests with a removable table for board games or wine glasses. A filler cushion transforms the bow to a full on daybed, ready for all your sunbathing needs. In 2022 new custom Corinthian Marine Aquamat marine flooring in Natural Teak was installed for a classic look with a comfortable feel.
Through the transom door the integrated swim platform is the perfect spot for diving into the water, or for a picnic to watch the sunset. A concealed swim ladder keeps the space uncluttered and usable while the transom shower is great for cleaning up (either you, your kids, or the platform). The boat comes with two anchors, one in the anchor locker with a 50 foot rode, and another used to keep the back of the boat pointed to the beach.
The engine compartment is smartly hidden and sound insulated beneath the aft settee and accessed via a James Bond worthy hydraulic lift system. Your guests will never know they are sitting above the engine. With only 2 freshwater owners, this boat and engine have been babied with only 912 hours behind her. A new alternator was installed in 2023. The boat has been wintered in indoor heated storage her entire life.
All maintenance has been performed before it was required. New anti-fouling paint on the hull in 2024. The engine is clean and purrs like a kitten.
This boat has been used by a couple that likes to take things slow. They never intended to get anywhere faster than they needed to, so they didn't. Morning coffees and relaxing sunset cocktail cruises with friends and family have been the primary excursions of the S.S. Buttercream.
