Full Details
CONSTRUCTION
The hull is solid hand-laid fiberglass with four 2" x 6" stringers. The deck and wheelhouse assembly are fiberglass over marine plywood with a non-skid surface. Four opening ports. The platform is also non-skid fiberglass over 3/4" marine plywood with fiberglass hatches. The hardware is two 6" Skene bow chocks, 8" stern cleats, 8" spring line cleats, One 5x5 bow mooring bit and anchor rope deck pipe--all bronze. PVC guard and toe rails. Mahogany handrails and trim on the cabin top. Green hull, white boot top, and red bottom paint.
ENGINE
Crusader 454 gas engine, 350 HP with 1700 hours. Racor fuel filter, valves, hoses, vents. Stainless steel steering wheel with hydraulic steering. Stainless steel shaft to the 4-blade bronze propeller with a custom-built cage built by Lyman Morse (2019). Bow thruster.

Fuel: 53 gallons in 2 aluminum tanks
Water: 25-gallon tank
Holding: 30-gallon tank
ACCOMMODATIONS
In the cabin, aft of the rope locker are two vee berths with cushions and storage below. Next aft to starboard is the enclosed head with the marine flush with a holding tank and macerator pump. To port is the galley cabinetry with a stainless steel sink, Formica counter with mahogany covered lockers and drawers below. Overhead is a Bomar hatch with a solar vent and four opening ports to provide good natural light and ventilation. The cabin has 6'1" foot headroom and is trimmed with varnished mahogany, white ceiling and bulkheads.
Up the companionway steps into the wheelhouse, the steering station is to starboard. Two pedestal helm seats, port and starboard are installed in the wheelhouse.Then two moveable teak chairs with cushions follow with a cushioned stern seat aft. A spacious cockpit. Stainless steel hoops for the canvas top and side curtains over the wheelhouse area. The side decks with a stainless steel bow rail lead to the fore deck with the mooring bit, chocks, Lewmar windlass and fiberglass anchor pulpit. Off the stern is a teak swim platform with a drop-down stainless steel ladder. This Ellis is a good-looking and comfortable vessel to enjoy day sailing and overnighting!
