TRUE NORTH OVERVIEW
True North is a great cruiser/racer and has been extensively upgraded with over $50,000 spent in equipment and sails, including a new Garmin GPSMAP 943xsv chartplotter added September 2024.
The 27 X version is a performance version of the Hunter 27-3 and features a performance keel and rudder for better pointing and speed, while the rigging, winches and sail controls are upgraded for enhanced boat handling.
Accomodations rival many 30-footers, including 6'2" headroom, a private aft cabin, an enclosed head and a wrap-around salon. She sleeps 6 in 2 cabins; double in the aft cabin, double in the V-berth and settee berths to port & stbd.
True North has been raced single-handed, double-handed and fully crewed around the buoys and all over Lake Ontario. Accolades include multiple wins in the Lake Ontario 300 and LOSHRS races.
