    Descriptions

Most builders have long ignored the 27 foot size sector, however Hunter dedicated its efforts to offer a complete range of superb sailing products. This is an ideal size for small families that are looking for a blend of comfortable accommodations in an easy-to-handle size. The Hunter 27 features an open plan main salon, galley and forecabin, plus offers a private head/shower compartment and an aft qaurterberth. She has a fine blend of classic exterior lines and a spacious, comfortable interior. Brisk performance in a stable hull form help ensure that your cruising time is always enjoyable.

    Hull and Deck

Construction of the Hunter 27 is solid glass layup, with plywood reinforcement in high-stress areas such as winch mountings and locker tops. Gelcoat and finish quality of the hull molding are good.

The hull-to-deck joint of the Hunter 27 is simple and strong. The hull molding has an internal flange molded at right angles to the hull at deck level. This flange is heavily coated with adhesive bedding, the deck molding is laid over the flange, and the joint covered with a slotted aluminum toe rail which is through-bolted with stainless steel bolts at 6-inch intervals. This is an obvious and very satisfactory answer to the hull-to-deck joint problem. The flaying surfaces of the joint appear to match well, and the adhesive compound has squeezed out along the joint where it can be inspected. - Practical Sailor

    Interior

As you step down the companionway, you are struck by the roominess of the boat. The galley is directly to starboard. It features a small sink, teak trimmed laminate counter tops, a stove top alcohol stove, dishware storage and a cooler box.

Across from the galley is the quarter berth. The battery access is here and it is a great place to store gear.

In the main salon there are two large settees and a nav table. The salon is wide with very high headroom for a small boat, with plenty of light and air ventilation below.

Forward from the salon is the head, it features a manual toilet and vanity with a sink.

All the way forward is a V-berth cabin with a deck hatch and shelf storage outboard.

Cushions are in dry storage and not shown on the boat.
