Allow us to introduce you to "MS. TEAK"!
This Rumery's Model: Herreschoff Alerion 26 is a classic daysailer Sloop designed by Nathaniel Herreshoff, faithfully recreated by builders like Rumery's Boat
Yard using modern fiberglass construction while retaining the original design's timeless beauty and boathandling ease.
These boats are known for their graceful lines, stability, ease of handling and capability for short overnight stays either as a cozy couple or a single handed skipper. The cockpit is spacious and deep, with teak coamings for comfort and easy maneuverability. And if you are sailing on your own, all control lines lead back to the cockpit for solo sailing. With a fiberglass hull and deck, mahogany cabin sides, highlighted by a teak deck overlay and teak decking systems, no wonder her name is "Ms. Teak"! She comes with 2 sets of sails in good condition. from UK sails and made to look like Egyptian cotton.
Most owners we've dealt with state: "Looks and feels like a wood hulled classic, with the advantages of fiberglass hull."
The Centerboard is a big plus as it allows you to sail more places, easy trailering, storage, lift access, anchoring, and mooring. Plus if you are a racer, her PHRF is 213-238 - quite favorable.
Another advantage is there is no back stay = HUGE mainsail. Quite a difference from most modern Jib/Genoa dominated boats.
Garmin GPS, KVH wind and directional gauges included.
Down below it's close quarters, but there is a V-berth for two, galley area (for a stove), storage, and potentially a reading chair and nav station.
Ms. Teak has had her bottom painted in 2024:) This boat is ready to go! Currently in the water on Lake Geneva and includes a triad trailer.
Rigging: Aluminum spars, painted buff. Stainless steel wire standing rigging. Jib-boom universal deck connection to allow for roller-reefing operation. Harken roller-furling headsail foil. Bronze chainplates. Dacron running rigging.
Electrical: Two group 24 batteries 3 position battery switch Six breaker circuit panel with voltmeter Bilge Pumps (1) Electric bilge pump (500 GPH) Manual bilge pump.
