Hull Construction

• Combination of sandwich and single skin GRP laminate
• Reinforcements: mat, unidirectional/biaxial E-glass and carbon fibers
• Closed-cell foam cores used in sandwich structures
• Vinylester resin skin coat applied to prevent osmosis
• Hull bottom, sides & deck primarily built via infusion process
• Hull structure framed with main longitudinal and transversal bulkheads, plus secondary members

Integrated Tanks

• Fuel oil, black water, grey water, and fresh water tanks integrated into structure
• Internal tank protection with vinylester resin system:
• Fuel tanks: 2 C-glass layers
• Fresh water tanks: food grade gelcoat
• Other tanks: 2 additional E-glass layers

Deck Structure

• Deck supported by longitudinal and transversal structural members
• Bulkheads constructed of GRP sandwich and composite marine plywood
• GRP bulwark integrated into hull sides
• Bulwark fitted with fairleads, access doors, freeing ports (per Classification Rules)
• GRP bow thruster tunnel with laminated installation
• Watertight penetrations where passing through bulkheads

Superstructure Construction
